About Duckling

DucklingOS Logo in the About-Us section

Duckling is a free, open-source operating system. We started this project out of a passion for technology and a desire to create a great OS that anyone can use, customize, and build upon.

DucklingOS is a work-in-progress based on Linux, designed to be intuitive for casual users and beginners, while remaining powerful and flexible for IT experts and advanced users. While we leverage modern tools, including AI, for development assistance, all core design, programming, and workflow decisions are our own. We started development on June 26th, 2024, and look forward to a successful future for the OS, our team, and our community.
